In the hallway outside my husband's office hang many picture collages of people and events of the past at church -- and several of them have wedding pictures - one including us.
Avery and I were waiting for Pops to come out of his office last week and we had this conversation:
ME: Ave, can you find Grammy & Pops in this picture?
AVERY: (She studies the collage for a bit) No, but that look like my dad (pointing at Pops).
ME: That's Pops.
AVERY: Oh, Pops was just a little kid at that wedding?
(I guess we were just kids - barely 20)
Made me smile.
