Jewely DOES make you feel better!

I woke up feeling kind of bummed today... worried about our friend, Doug; wishing I could be at the hospital for my friend, Cindy. It just felt like a cloudy day. On top of that, I have cabin fever. For a whole week, I haven't done anything but lay around and get better -- and it's not going fast enough for me.

This morning I took a shower and got dressed -- my big daily activity for the past week. I even put on some mascara -- thought it might make me feel a little better -- or at least look a little better. Then I noticed the little heart tin sitting on my bathroom counter -- the one my sister, Caryn, had brought to me in the hospital right after surgery. Oh, you know what's in those little metal heart tins -- unless someone is playing a dirty trick on you, it's something from Brighton!
Caryn was there at the hospital early in the morning before I went into surgery -- then she sat with Danny for the wait. And when I woke up in the afternoon, there she was with this little heart tin. Inside was a bracelet with two little charms -- a cross and a "sister" bead.
I had to remove all jewelry and leave it at home before going into surgery, and I hadn't put any of my jewelry back on until this morning. I love my new bracelet -- it put a smile on my face and I do feel better!
(Maybe I should have Photoshopped some of those wrinkles and veins out of the pic!)

It's a beautiful bracelet! And no, you should not have photoshopped...your hands are beautiful! (And I feel the same way about Doug and Cindy...I wish there were more I could do, too.) Get Well!
