Yesterday was Water Day at our kids camp and today we finished with a little BBQ lunch - thanks to Dennis. Yesterday we had a short presentation about the polygamy rescue program, then headed to the West Jordan church to meet up with all the other SOAR teams to hear about their ministry activities.
This afternoon we met with the youth pastor from the church we are serving in for a session on talking to LDS friends. Then we went out to dinner and returned home for an evening off - which we were all ready for. A few of our boys joined the youth group here for movie night but the rest of us just stayed in.
I'm not sure what all we're doing tomorrow, but in the morning we're going on a hike with the worship pastor then back to the church for a final session with the other SOAR groups. We have a busy weekend ahead of us and a few of us are fighting coughs and feeling a bit run down.
While our areas of service have not been a huge stretch for us, this trip has been packed full of learnings - at times almost too much to take in - and has provided us with some challenges to follow up with at home.
