My Husband is Wonderful!

For a few months now I’ve been following a few blogs – how fun it is to have a little glimpse into the lives of family, friends, and the kids of my dear friends! Well, before long I got the urge to have my own blog and a few weeks ago when I became the new owner of my very own laptop, I decided it was time.
Being a total novice at blogs and blogging, I started surfing the web for some good ideas. Oh, there are some cute ones out there! So I followed the very easy instructions to create a blog spot – but it wasn’t very cute. In fact, it was pathetic! After an hour or so, I gave up and decided it would have to wait for another day.
Well, another day came last week when I was forced to be on bed rest for a few days following a short stay in the hospital for a blood transfusion (oh – that will be another post!) I messed around all day long with this blog spot – and finally came up with what I decided I’d call good. (You like?)
So now the fun part was over – and it was time to BLOG. Uninspired and thinking that maybe I would just be satisfied to have a cute blank blog spot, it has just been sitting there unpublished and empty – until today!
I came home from work this afternoon and logged on to check my email – then decided to surf the web and check out my favorite blogs. Just then, my WONDERFUL husband walked in and said, “What are you doing?” I said, “Reading blogs.” He said, “Blogs! When are you going to start your blog?” (He was using a kind of mocking tone, having no idea I had created a blog!) I said, “Well, I made my blog spot, but I haven’t written anything yet.” I’m not sure how to describe the look on his face – maybe, um, dread? And then he said those fatal words… “I don’t even want to be mentioned on that thing.” I started laughing – and he knew he was in trouble! I said, “Honey, you know that is the worst thing you could ever have said to me!”
Ah, just the inspiration I needed to get started!
So let me take this opportunity to tell you that he is a great guy -- so that just in case he does happen to be mentioned in the future, no matter what is said, there will be no question that I am indeed blessed to be his wife and that he is absolutely WONDERFUL! I love you, Honey – and let the blogging begin!
