New to the Krause Family...

When I asked the husband what he wanted for his birthday on August 16th, the answer was a puppy.  A puppy?  We're too busy for a puppy.  We're not home enough for a puppy.  But he wanted a puppy.  What kind of puppy?  A boxer.  A Boxer?  Boxers get big (we've had two during the time we've been married.)  Boxers need lots of exercise.
Well, after much discussion, we agreed to get a little house dog -- like maybe a little Maltese Shitzu.   You know, a fufu dog.  Something like this...
We responded to an ad in the paper and went to check out said little fufu dog; however, we got stood up -- the owner never showed up for our appointed time -- and the husband wasted no time interpreting this "no show" as a sign that he was meant to have the Boxer and not the fufu dog.
So, meet 8-week-old Siri...
Siri is short for Sigrid
Sigrid means Victory
(Yes, the husband won this one)
As much as I disagreed with the decision to get a new puppy, even more so a puppy that would grow into a big dog, she's won me over.  She's so stinkin' cute, how could you not fall in love?  And so far, she is the best behaved puppy we've ever had.  Absolutely no whining from the first night we got her. She loves to go for a walk when we come home in the evenings.  When it's time for her to go outside, she sits just outside the door and looks in the window -- without scratching or whining.  She's a real charmer, I tell you.
This picture was taken at 6 weeks old - she's growing fast!

She's quite a hit with Avery, too.  In fact, Grammy and Pops are old news now -- she wants to come over to play with Siri

One of my favorite breed of dogs. She is precious! Enjoy! I think Danny needs a win after his last two years of school :)

Sounds like she's named after the girl in your iPhone. She is really a cute puppy. I'm so glad her ears were left alone and not clipped.
